Infusionsoft Inline Editing Saves Time

The new inline editing functionality of Infusionsoft, extended in Winter 2012, reduces the number of clicks required to work through lists and take actions.

Not only can field values be changed from the list without the need to enter the records, but notes and tasks can be applied from this main list page.  The combination of these two features is what delivers the business benefits.

Lets take a real world scenario:  You have a list of people you need to call.  They have expressed interest in the past, but now you need to move the opportunity forward.  All you have to do is tag these people so that they appear in an opportunity list.  In advance, you have your Stage move actions set to remove this particular tag.  You also have a Notes template set to remove the tag if the call runs to voice mail.

Start working the list in the interactive category.  As you call, you can write notes inline or run the “Left Voicemail” notes template.  If you do get the person on the telephone, you can change the Opportunity stage.  Either way, the tag is changed and the person comes off the list in front of you.  Everything is recorded and automated.  Your operator just works the list.
