Infusionsoft’s Social Media Enhancements
Infusionsoft’s Winter 2012 release has just made it easier for businesses to interact with their followers on Twitter and Facebook – all from inside their Infusionsoft application.
You can now broadcast a hosted version of an “email” directly to your social media feeds. Great, but what are the benefits? For those people that don’t have an easy way to host a webpage that can be distributed to Facebook and Twitter, Infusionsoft offers the following solution: Infusionsoft hosts the “email,” which is effectively a webpage. To make this as effective as possible, you need to consider the design of the email template you are going to use. Because the link posted in your feed goes to a hosted webpage, you might want to consider putting in a navigation link back to your website. You would probably want a different functional design to this than you would have on a real email.
The second use for this feature is to let your followers know when you have sent out an email. Clearly you may well have people who follow you on social networks but who are not signed up to your broadcasts, and vice versa. To maximise the benefit of this, you might want to consider a call to action that encourages people to opt-in so you can capture their details inside your Infusionsoft application. It is worth reminding yourself that social media followers are not buyers – they are followers. By opting-in, they move one step further into a relationship and that bit closer to becoming buyers.
Using the Social Snippet that can be dragged onto emails enables easy sharing via social networks for your readers but also adds the ability for businesses to set up automation links when these buttons are clicked. This is very powerful and utilises the core strength of Infusionsoft. When a customer shares, you can track it, thank them, and trigger automation. One of the options that is available in hosted emails viewed via social media, is that they display a web form next to the email content. This ties together social media content distribution and list building nicely.
Infusionsoft’s Winter 2012 release gives you another tool as well. You can now share a hosted version of your webforms via Facebook and Twitter.
Once again, everything is tracked so you can measure the results and CTR you get.
