Lilley Brook Golf Club has launched a new website to serve the needs of the golfers of Cheltenham. “We needed to have a website that was attractive, but also supported the business needs of the golf club,” comments Mike Bowles, Director of Lilley Brook. “As a members club, our primary focus is on improving facilities and playing conditions. To achieve this, without having to increase subscription fees, we needed to attract new members, visitors and societies. Our website is a vital tool.”
Lilley Brook’s new website incorporates contact forms supplied by David Holland of EXELA. “Visitors, sponsors and potential new members want to have a simple way to request information. If a potential member requests an application pack, the Directors want to follow up with that person to invite them for a run of golf at the course, the Professional wants to welcome them to his academy, and the Secretary wants to make sure they are able to apply to join as quickly as possible.”
According to Mike, “We have used Infusionsoft® to automate the follow-up process, so no opportunity is left to chance. When someone enquires about membership, they receive a membership pack from the Chairman, followed by an invitation from the Pro to play golf. Then they receive a follow-up email from the secretary asking for feedback. Finally, the secretary is tasked with calling them. This series is spaced out over 10 days.”
“The result has been that the membership is now full for the first time in six years!”
