The goal of this lesson will be to set up the Facebook digital plumbing so that we can have our Facebook tracking pixel on our website and linked with our Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager.
Why do we need a Facebook tracking pixel?
A Facebook tracking pixels are essential for anyone running Facebook Ads. They allow us to track what our targeted leads are doing once they click the Ad link and visit our website. By having a Pixel linked we can identify where our Facebook visitors are dropping off so that we can improve our sales process. It also enables Facebook to track what types of people are most interest in our content and complete our conversion event most often. This allows their algorithm to optimise and can substantially improve our conversion rates.
